When compared to traditional wood, it has better impact-resistance and flexibility. 2" x 4" recycled lumber is adequate for most light to medium duty applications when Flexmaster is being installed against a wooden piling or flat surface. For larger boats and installations using our aluminum Flexmaster dock fender brackets, 4" x 4" recycled lumber is preferred.
